Lemongrass Essential Oil

(Cymbopogon citratus/flexuosus) 

The Cymbopogon family includes around 50 species native to Asia, but some were introduced and naturalized since a long time in the intertropical world because of their excellent aromatic, culinary and medicinal virtues.

Uses :  

Culinary - In Asia and in India, bases of the rush is used for cooking. In Morocco, citronella is used to flavor mint teas. It blends well with ginger, coconut, garlic, green onion and pepper.

Environment - It refreshes rooms, repels insects and purifies what’s left from anger and irritability. 

Perfumery - Green citrus scent.

Skincare - Used in acne creams, in case of excessive sweating and athlete’s foot. In massage oil, it gives a purifying sensation, it reduces itching and skin rash. It is an insect repellant. It is also used as a tonic for the skin.

Oil Characteristics : Pale yellow to pale green clear mobile liquid with a fresh citrus scent and some earthiness.
