The Novalis Pro serves as an auxiliary scanner. It is generally used to precisely measure the skin's hydration/sebum levels or to capture macro images of a very specific area.

It is a modular system in 3 separate pieces. You have the analysis dome, the touch screen on its own stand, and a separate manual probe. This allows you to place the screen facing you while the client is in the dome.

The lighting system inside is dark and conceals the technology. The design is sleeker and more minimalist compared to the Novalis V3, whose interior exposes a large ring of segmented LED lights around the central lens.

Multispectral Imaging Technology

The main dome uses several types of lighting to capture images of the skin at different depths, far beyond what the naked eye can see:

• White Light (RGB): Analyzes the visible surface of the skin (wrinkles, fine lines, pore size).

• Polarized Light (Cross and Parallel): Eliminates surface reflections to reveal underlying redness, couperose, rosacea, and uneven texture.

• UV Light / Wood's Lamp: Penetrates the epidermis to detect sun damage (future pigmentation spots), sebum deposits, and porphyrins (acne-causing bacteria).

• High-Resolution Camera: Generally equipped with a 15 to 30-megapixel sensor for macroscopic detail.

The device uses the cloud or a local database (thousands of clinical profiles) to compare and evaluate the client's skin:

• Multi-point Diagnosis: Instant evaluation of 8 to 14 parameters (hydration, sebum, pores, wrinkles, spots, sensitivity, etc.).

• Skin Score and True Age: The AI calculates the biological age of the skin compared to the client's actual age.

• Aging Simulation: Ability to project the skin's evolution over the next 5 to 10 years, with or without treatment.

Software Features (Touch Screen Tablet)

The central console manages all clinical and commercial aspects:

• Patient Record Management (CRM): Data logging, visit history, and previous scans (illustrated by the File Management button).

• Before / After Tool: Image overlay to prove the effectiveness of your treatments or products over time.

• Automated Beauty Prescription: The software can be configured to automatically recommend retail products or treatments from your institute based on the scan results.

The Manual Probe (Accessory)

The external module complements the visual analysis with physical measurements:

• Contact Analysis: Often uses bio-impedance to accurately measure hydration levels (water), lipid levels (sebum), and skin elasticity.

• Macro / Capillaroscope Mode: Sometimes allows for an extreme zoom on a highly targeted issue or to analyze the scalp.
